How to measure

With a ring that fits

  1. Pick a ring worn on the same finger.
  2. Measure straight across the inside edge in millimeters.
  3. Find that diameter in the chart.

With a strip of paper

  1. Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger.
  2. Mark where it overlaps.
  3. Lay it flat, measure to the mark in millimeters, and find that circumference in the chart.

Fit tips

  • Day's end
  • Room temperature
  • Must pass the knuckle
  • Wide bands fit snug
  • Measure at the end of the day, at room temperature.
  • The ring must slide over the knuckle.
  • Wide bands fit more snugly. Consider going up a little.
  • Measure two or three times and compare.

Our free two-page PDF has this chart, a cut-out sizer strip, and a calibration ruler. Print at 100% (actual size) and check the ruler before you measure.

The most accurate option

Home methods give a good estimate. A fitting with a jeweler is the most accurate way to find a ring size.
